The chances are that you have had many dental check-ups before so you already have a good idea of what they involve, but do you know the importance of each step. Your dentist carries out a thorough examination that checks for any issues that may impact your future dental health. This includes assessing the health of your: teeth, gums, bite (how your teeth meet together), cheeks, tongue, jaw and neck.
Your oral health is much more than just your teeth. While your cleaning regime at home does most of the work in protecting your smile from gum disease and decay, it’s these visits that keeps a good eye on the rest of your oral health. Working together this way, we can make sure your mouth stays healthy and whole for a life time.
If we spot any issues that need treatment, we will arrange for an appointment to deal with the problem, whether this is a filling, root canal or a cosmetic treatment.
